Welcome to the sale of the used LinkQuest UWM1000 surface module for the UWM4010 Underwater Wireless (Acoustic) Modem,  a deep water modem tailored for one-way data transfer from an

AUV to a surface vessel. Before operating this modem you should read through theentire user’s guide.

This underwater modem operates in both fresh and salt water up to a near vertical range of 3000 meters with a maximum depth of 3000 meters. The data rate of the acoustic link is at 8500 kbits/second and the payload data rate is about 4000 bits/second (coded communication). The payload data refers to the user’s input data from the AUV.
 
A set of UWM4010 modems consists of a surface modem and a bottom modem.
The surface modem only receives data. The bottom (AUV) modem only transmits data. The modem pair forms a completely transparent wireless RS-232 connection.

No special modem commands are needed for transmitting or receiving user data.
